Description
A Doom Scythe is a Necron aircraft and Attack Craft capable of combat operations in both the void and within a planet's atmosphere. The Doom Scythe serves the Necron forces in the interceptor, starship assault and fighter-bomber roles. It is designed to range independently of the main Necron military force whilst visiting terror and destruction upon its enemies. Capable of destroying both infantry and vehicles alike from the air with impunity, a Doom Scythe is a dangerous foe that can often cause significant destruction to an enemy army on its own.
Night Scythe
The Night Scythe is the Necrons’ favoured tool of invasion, a variant of the Doom Scythe that replaces some of that fighter’s heaviest weaponry in favour of a troop transport capacity. This is not to say that a Night Scythe is in any way defenceless -- quite the opposite.
Like its counterpart, it is capable of combat operations in both the void and within a planet's atmosphere and it serves the Necron forces in the interceptor, starship assault and fighter-bomber roles. With its turret-mounted Tesla Destructors and the nerve-shredding shriek of its engines, the Night Scythe is a formidable fighter craft in its own right.
What's in the box?
The crescent-shaped Necron Doom Scythe is an impressive model. It’s numerous, elegant panels are covered in Necron iconography, and there are numerous orbs and grills located around the model, and a spine-like engine. As well as a Necron pilot tucked away in the centre of the model, the weapons on the flyer include a twin-linked tesla destructor and a death ray set within a claw-like vice.
This multi-part plastic kit contains 51 components, a flying stem, large oval base and a Necron transfer sheet with which to build a Doom Scythe. This kit can be used optionally to build a Night Scythe.
