Event Overview:
This event will act as our launching point at Accidentally Cool Games for 11th Edition! These along with an additional Escalation Leagues, and 2000 Point Tournaments are what we plan on hosting throughout 11th Edition.

So what are Casual Tournaments? Smaller tables, shorter rounds, different end goal. Unlike our 2000 point tournaments where the goal is to find our Best General, Best Painted, and the rest. This event is tailored to new players, and casual gameplay. Simplified mission scenarios, for faster rounds, and no set winner at the end. Cost is kept low overall, there is no painting requirement, the normal -10 points on your overall score will not be applied as it would be during a 2000 Point event.

Our goal is to have experienced players along side our new players, each round will be random and will not be based on your wins, or scoring. Our schedule is as follows, we ask everyone attending be here at least 10-15 minutes before Round 1. We will have coffee and donuts!

Registration/Check-In/Doors Open – 9am

Round 1 – 10am to 12pm
Round 2 – 12pm to 2pm
Lunch/Break – 2pm to 3pm
Round 3 – 3pm – 5pm
Round 4 – 5pm – 7pm

Dice will be down at end of round, at last round cut off will be called at 15 minutes to end of round. These rounds may seem quick but we do plan on simplified missions, with the low points I think we can all get 4 rounds in the day! Thank you to all for your time!

Players must:

- Have Access to current army/game rules via App / Book or legal rules application for Judges/Opponents to Consult, ***HOWEVER, it being a new edition, and a learning experience all around for new players, we ask everyone to have there digital devices charged, bring cords or plug-in’s to keep those devices functioning throughout the day!****
- Have met model requirement on Base Size , Identifiable characteristics, and meet model Legality Standards (3d Printing, Customization Etc. Must be checked with Judge)

Proper Dice and Measuring Tools

- Food, we will be taking a 1 Hour Break from 2pm – 3pm, in which we will order food, admire armies, give people an opportunity to breath, mingle and waagh.

Awards – This event wont have the traditional awards, this is not intended for anyone to win aside from making connections in the Warhammer Community, and have an opportunity to experience a “light” organized play experience.

Artistic Recognition — Armies on Parade! **While we won’t be doing a Best Painted for this event, this is the rubric we normally would use; based off the same used at Warhammer Open Events, it’s a good place to look if you find painting in the hobby to be a motivation!**

Every participant in our Warhammer 40,000 event, may submit the army they are playing in the event as part of our artistic recognition challenge. Store patrons and appointed judges will review each submission with a list of criteria, and shall award a 1st Place and Runner-Up acknowledging excellence and dedication of artistry in bringing your army to life. This is the criteria judges will review:

Is the entire army fully painted using at least a battle-ready minimum of 3 different colours?

To what extent has the artist demonstrated shading and blending / a transition of colour?

To what extent has the artist included shading and shadows?- To what extent the artist included fine detail work on a majority/all of the models? This includes sigils, emblems, facial features, and other markings that really bring the model to life?

Has the artist included a display board to create a setting for the army on which to be displayed?

Event Notes:

Proxying / Artistic Reinterpretation, In each occurrence of a unit having a special weapon on your roster, the corresponding model must physically represent that weapon and cannot represent weaponry that is inaccurate or may mislead opponents. This reasoning stands for all alternate or custom sculpts. Please check with ACG tournament organizers

All Base sizes must match unit requirements.

All models must be predominantly GW in sculpt and make, and in the event of using alternative models these models should be shown to ACG tournament organizers before the tournament begins to verify acceptability. If models are found unacceptable, ACG will offer no recourse or alternative. Models found after the fact or unchecked by ACG tournament organizers will be removed from use at the tournament for the entirety of the tournament.

Rules Releases:

All rules releases are new and will be subject to so many things, we ask for patience across the board as rules changes are new to everyone including judges!
